April 2, 2019

Nearly a year after his untimely death as a result of the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy, Logan Boulet's legacy continues to live on in Lethbridge. A resolution was passed by City Council on Monday, April 1, that was inspired by Boulet. To proclaim a name change that will see Adams Park Ice Centre become the Logan Boulet Arena.

The Logan Boulet Effect is now synonymous with organ donation. Prior to his passing, Boulet made the decision to become an organ donor. That decision lead to six people being saved. City administration will work to make the name change in preparation for next hockey season. In addition to renaming the rink, City Council also asked the Arts Committee to explore commissioning of an art piece in memory of Logan Boulet.
