Asian murder hornets make their way to North America

May 7, 2020

Chances are you have heard of the Asian Murder Hornet. They come from the forests and low mountains in Asia. The killer hornets have made their way to Washington State and now BC. Beekeepers and honey producers have something new to worry about outside of the coronavirus because the murder hornets can wipe out entire bee populations quite quickly. As Micah Quinn explains, a local beekeeper near Fort Macleod has heard of the hornets, and hopes the species can be eradicated quickly before they come to Alberta.
