Cavendish Farms sees outbreak of at least 10 positive COVID cases

The Cavendish Farms food processing plant in Lethbridge currently has at least 10 positive cases of Coronavirus.

According to a written statement, all infected employees are self isolating and all potentially affected employees have been notified and are also self-isolating.

The first five cases were reported on Saturday, October 10. According to Director of Operations, Lee Gleim, the plant had undergone a planned maintenance shut down last Friday and will remain closed until Monday, October, 19.

All employees have been encouraged to get tested. The plant has undergone a full sanitization and disinfection.
