The Council of Catholic School Superintendents of Alberta (CCSSA), "Excellence in Catholic Education Award "recognizes Catholic educators in Alberta who “are passionate about Catholic education and the students they teach."
Kinahan has served the division for 29 years, the past 14 as principal.
Superintendent Chris Smeaton says “without hesitation that his Catholic leadership has impacted the spiritual health of each school tremendously."
"I believe that this is not only a result of Kevin’s high expectations for his staff, which he encourages in such a compassionate and humorous way, but as a result of the Christ-centred example that he models," Smeaton adds.
Kinahan will be honoured at the ACSTA’s Blueprints conference in May.
