Drugged Driving Suit mimics impaired drivers reactions

June 18, 2019

A Bridge City News reporter tested out Ford's Drugged Driving Suit. It didn't go well.

The Drugged Driving Suit - an apparatus that teaches the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs such as cannabis, cocaine, heroin, LSD and ecstasy.

The Suit, which is part of Ford’s Driving Skills for Life program re-creates the reduced mobility, slowed reaction time, distorted vision, hand tremors and poor coordination that occur when driving under the influence of drugs.  To simulate these affects, the suit was equipped with specially designed padding, weights, goggles and headphones.
