Environment Canada says 45-55 centimetres of the cold stuff has fallen over our city in the past day and a half.

The folks from Environment Canada said many areas across southwestern Alberta were hit hard. Waterton Lakes National Park close to 100 cms of snow. Pincher Creek also had their fair share of snow snow. As for Lethbridge, did we hit a record for snowfall?

Not quite, according to Meteorologist Sara Hoffman. She says the record snow fall was back on September 21, 1968 when 51.1 cm of snow fell in a single day, compared to our multi-day event of 45-55 cm.
