Food Banks Canada has released their Hunger Count 2019. It says that 34.1% of those relying on food banks nationally are children, when they only represent 19.4% of the population. Single parent households with children are particularly challenged to make ends meet…and locally, Interfaith Food Bank is serving more children and single parent households than the national and provincial averages.
