On June 13th, torrential hail came down on the village of Barnwell. It affected local farmers who were in the middle of the growing season for corn and potatoes. As Micah Quinn reports, one farming family says the hail caused widespread damage to their fields, but this is just one more issue they are having to deal with. Joe Johnson works with his family, and he and his brothers are fourth generation farmers. "My father started growing vegetables in the late 90s. That would be carrots and potatoes. Then me and my four brothers came along, and started growing sweet corn. We've been doing that ten years now." A recent report by Environment Canada also states that a tornado touched down near Barnwell on that night of June 13.
