Law Enforcement Torch Run supports Special Olympics

June 7, 2019

The Law Enforcement Torch Run that benefits the Alberta Special Olympics kicked off this morning at Casa in Lethbridge.

Every year participants from various law enforcement agencies including the Blood Tribe Police, Taber Police, Alberta Sheriffs, Alberta Corrections, RCMP and the Lethbridge Police Service embark on a 500-kilometre ride to Edmonton.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics mission is, “to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement worldwide.”

The 500-kilometre ride is one of many events the Alberta LETR hosts throughout the year.
