March 16, 2019

The New York Rangers have agreed to contract terms for free agent Jake Elmer of the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

This season Elmer has established WHL career-highs in goals, assists and points.

His 13 game goal streak is tied for the longest goal streak in the WHL since 1996-97 season.

Elmer, 20, has 38 goals and 40 assists in 60 games. He plays right wing, and is known for his presence in the community.

Elmer added to his Twitter comment by recognizing his need to put in the work to maintain this open door.
