Local churches excited to reunite with parishioners after long pause

July 8, 2020

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the province enforced a number of restrictions on those who attend church including no singing and physical distancing measures. With churches slowly reopening, patrons are simply excited to be back.

The Gate Church opened its doors July 5, and pastor Blaire Stretch was reminded of what fellowship is all about.

"One of the key aspects of any church, and hopefully our church as well is this idea of the Christian community. One of the words for that in scriptures is family. We call ourselves a church family. We're diverse, but we're also closely knit".

Since there is still a limited capacity, the Gate Church is asking people to register for service online, at http://www.thegate.org/home.html
