Local philanthropist asks, "how many people are you going to win by violence?"

March 20, 2019

Fola Sobeyejo, a local Nigerian philanthropist, says, "Characterization must be correct, must be examined and must be appropriate," in regards to the massacre of 120 Christians over the past three weeks in central Nigeria.

Soboyejo stresses that killings of any kind should be condemned, and that the recurrence of it is disturbing. He describes mainstream media's response to the massacring of Nigerian Christians as silence, and says it is probably attributed to the fact that it is, "recurring. Recurring news becomes stale news."

Soboyejo wishes to go back to a time when Muslims and Christians co-existed in Nigeria.
