LPS run for special olympics turns to the virtual side

The 8th annual Lethbridge Police Run in partnership with Special Olympics is coming up this fall. This year it will be held virtually due to the coronavirus. A Lethbridge Police Service run Facebook page will be made where participants can post videos of themselves running to share with the community. Those joining in the race will be able to run between Oct 1st and 9th. Constable Kara Hagen says, "We want people to come out, have fun, enjoy this family-friendly event. All while supporting a great cause, the Special Olympic athletes. All those who register by August 15, 2020 will receive an LPS Run t-shirt, finisher's medal, and their own bib number. The shirts will have a distinct Canadian flair to them. For those who want to register, or to donate, they can visit www.lpsrun.ca.
