Mental Health Support at Lethbridge College - Full Interview

November 21, 2018

It's addictions awareness week, and as part of a month of intention workshops and events around mental health, Lethbridge College health promotion coordinator, Harmoni Jones, sat down to tell us how they're helping students.

With May being the month of Sexual Violence Awareness, Lethbridge College brought in a speaker from Edmonton to educate the Sexual Violence Action Committee on ways to support victims of workplace harassment.

"Really, we just need to start from a place of believing people who come fourth with allegations of sexual harassment—it's the first step. When we act with disbelief, we make people feel unsupported, and unwilling to share more about what happened," says Sexual Violence Prevention educator Derek Warick

According to Canadian Business, 43 percent of women and 12 percent of men say they have been harassed at work.
