New local wildlife film goes virtual with proceeds lined up for the Helen Schuler Nature Centre

June 23, 2020

A wildlife documentary by a local filmmaker is going to be online this year. The film features birds that migrate into Southern Alberta in the spring, and where they find a mate, and fly home for the fall. Online showings begin on the morning of June 25th. All proceeds will be going to the Helen Schuler Nature Centre in support of the Growing the Grassroots Endowment Fund. The film was originally meant to be a part of the Lethbridge International Film Festival, but it was canceled due to covid-19. A live question and answer period with the filmmaker Rick Andrews, is planned for June 25 at 8pm MT on the Helen Schuler Nature Centre Facebook page.
