Poppy Campaign kicks off last Friday of October through Remembrance Day

October 29, 2019

If you haven’t noticed already, the poppy campaign has kicked off. According to Glenn Miller, spokesperson for the Lethbridge Legion, the poppy campaign begins every year on the last Friday of October with the Governor General receiving their poppy first, then the Lt. Governor...and so on, trickling right down to the general public. Its followed by tag day, where veterans around the country tag people with poppies.

You can pick up a poppy at most local businesses or the legion. They’re always free, but just remember to leave a donation.
