Rattlesnakes found at University of Lethbridge

June 19, 2019

Two rattlesnakes were found at the University of Lethbridge this morning.

The serpents were found on the fourth floor mechanical room area, and are the fourth and fifth ones found in the building this season.

"University hall has the mechanical rooms in it, and they steam out and lose heat into the coolies-side," says Ryan Heavyhead, Ecological Consultant for the City of Lethbridge. Heavyhead believes that is what attracts the rattlesnakes to the mechanical rooms.

No injuries were reported.
