'Slow Your Roll' campaign sees substantial growth

April 27, 2020

As the City of Lethbridge continues to mourn the loss of 10-year-old Charles McIntyre, who was killed at a crosswalk two weeks ago, one man has found a creative way to give back.

Chris DiPasquale started the 'Slow Your Roll' campaign to fill neighbourhoods with signage, reminding us to be mindful of kids in the neighbourhood. The movement has grown significantly in just four days.

"The Slow Your Roll community is nearly 150 people deep already. We've had requests in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary already. We're looking at how we can ship signs to other cities. We know that this is far reaching and that this impacts every community. Everybody wants their kids to be outside playing safely right now," says  DiPasquale.

All proceeds will be going to the Mindful Munchies program at the Lethbridge Food Bank.
