Too Many Cats Being Hit by Cars

May 3, 2019

Lethbridge Animal Services urges cat owners to keep your fur babies inside, claiming you could be shortening your cats life to only two or three years if you allow it to run around outdoors.

Animal Control Bylaw officers have been receiving an increase in calls about cats being hit by vehicles. As of the April 1st, the city has responded to 15 cats being run over. The group is encouraging cat owners to be responsible and monitor where your pet is at all times. They also warn drivers to keep an eye out for our furry friends day or night.
