More than 100 students in grades 6 thru 8 from across southern Alberta took part in the Lets Talk Science Challenge at the University of Lethbridge. VIZ: This year, the theme is Space, and the organizers were very impressed with the students interest in the subject.
"The level of enthusiasm is just out of this world. It is a really great response from the kids. The level of engagement that we've got—there's costumes, there's signs. Some of them have cheers, and our MC Sam has been really getting them into this, so that's been really great," says Let's Talk Science coordinator Nathan Hill.
The Lets Talk science challenge was created by a group of students at the U of L who volunteer for the National, Lets Talk Science program.
