Upcoming electoral candidate forum will highlight non-profit sector challenges

The United Way is hosting a forum for local election candidates to discuss challenges the non-profit sector are facing is set will take place

A forum for local election candidates centred on themes, focus points, and challenges non-profit and voluntary sector organizations are facing will take place on Wednesday, April 3 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Penny Building in Downtown Lethbridge.


“The day-to-day work of many non-profits could be affected by the outcome of the election,” says Cameron Howey, United Way’s Community Development Coordinator.

“We want to know what ideas they bring to the table, and how they will work with us to address non-profit concerns if elected.”

An invitation was extended to every local candidate by forum hosts, Volunteer Lethbridge and United Way of Lethbridge; South Western Alberta.

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Penny Building in Downtown Lethbridge.

Attendees are  encouraged to submit questions beforehand by emailing outreach@volunteerlethbridge.com.
