Volunteers make it possible at Youth One

April 9, 2019

Across Canada, April 7 to 13 marks National Volunteer Week. Many community members agree that Lethbridge is unique for its active volunteerism, like Josee Foster, Youth One's Volunteer Coordinator, who sees acts of kindness and giving back on a daily basis.

“It’s really wonderful how everyone comes together,” said Foster, who has been working for the organization since January 2019, and overseeing volunteers. “Without volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to serve our community the way we do; we would never keep up.”

Foster reflected on how volunteering can lead to many different opportunities, whether they be personal or professional, and giving back always opens unexpected doors.

“Our volunteers really get to know our youth and mentor them. They’re amazing and very sincere with it all,” said Foster appreciatively.
